President Benson’s Message Dear Students, Faculty and Staff, As you have heard, there was another horrific tragedy involving a gunman at a college campus yesterday. The College of Charleston community extends its heartfelt and deepest sympathies to the victims’ families and to the entire Northern Illinois University community. This terrible event is another reminder that we all should quickly reach out for help in times of need. As always, our Counseling Center staff members are prepared to help students affected by this tragedy, especially those who have friends or relatives attending or affiliated with Northern Illinois. As we mourn for our colleagues and friends at Northern Illinois, we are again reminded of the preciousness and fragility of life. Please know that nothing is more important at the College of Charleston than the health and safety of our campus community. P. George Benson |
